Hi everyone!  Today I wanted to share an easy way to get more wear out of a classic piece.  You probably already have a basic jersey knit dress in your closet.  And if you don't, I have linked several options above!  This is a timeless piece and you can find nice solid knit dresses for under $30.  I wanted to show you two ways to style this type of dress by swapping out accessories and shoes.

Traditionally, I like to style dresses like this in a more casual way.  Here I paired this turtleneck dress with a blanket scarf, and since the holidays are upon is, I chose one that had reds and greens in it.  However, this dark green dress would also look great with a scarf with tans, blacks, and even pink tones!  I opted to wear over the knee tan boots, but you could also wear booties, flats or even some cute sneakers with this dress.  I chose a solid color tan purse that matched my boots and some gold accessories.  This is an easy outfit to throw on, yet still look put together.

Although I generally opt for a casual look with jersey dresses, you can also easily dress them up for a night out.  Here, I swapped out my boots for some fun embroidered heels. And instead of a blanket scarf, I chose to wear a statement necklace.  I also swapped out my bracelet and earrings for some with a little bling.  Instead of the basic tan purse I wore with the casual look, I paired the dress with a leopard clutch to add another pattern for some fun.

You probably already have most if not all of the items in your closet to get multiple looks from a simple jersey dress.  I hope this post gave you a few new ideas about how to get more wear out of what is already in your closet.  Thanks so much for reading Smart Southern Style!  I appreciate you all!
