A Celebration of Moms
One of the many things we all connected on at the brunch was motherhood. While it may look a little different to each of us, at the end of day, we all want to be the best possible moms to our kids and most importantly, we want our children to feel loved. It is so easy to be hard on ourselves when it comes to motherhood. We may look at someone else and think that other mom has it all together when we are feeling like a hot mess. News flash ladies...none of us have it all together all the time despite what it may look like on the outside. We all have our moments of insecurity and need to give ourselves grace. During the brunch, we also talked about how important it is to find a tribe of other ladies to connect with. Sometimes getting away for some girl time to work out, have a glass of wine or just chat can refresh us and help us be the best version of ourselves for everyone in our life. Thankful to have friends who love me despite my shortcomings and I wish the same for all of you.
We enjoyed the most delicious brunch and I learned a few things about food presentation from Lindsay Kingdon who prepared much of the food. I will never be a food blogger, as my idea of food presentation is to take food out of a store bought container and slap it on a plate! (I'm kidding...kind of!) All of the food platters were gorgeous and they all tasted as good as they looked. Little details can go a long way with food presentation. Lindsay added edible flowers to several of the platters which was such a nice touch. She made a beautiful fruit tray and cut some of the fruit in fun unique shapes which is something else I plan to try.
I love the beautiful flower arrangements by Spruce & Company that were sprinkled throughout the kitchen island and on the tables. Ashley Cash with The Graceful Host is the incredibly creative and organized event planner who planned our brunch. She provided the prettiest paper products I have even seen and you don't have to wash them which makes me like them even more! Jasmin Thompson with JLT Photography took all of the gorgeous photos at the brunch and even stood on furniture to get the perfect shot!

I can't end this post without talking about all of the beautiful outfits that everyone wore to the brunch. Although we each wore a dress, I love that everyone has their own unique style. Some chose florals, some chose lace and some chose a boho look, but all were gorgeous! I wore a PRETTY PERIWINKLE DRESS that has a flattering fit and flare shape. I love the eyelet detail and it is lined so it isn't see through at all. I added some bright pink accessories, but if pink is not your thing, this dress would also look great with some neutral sandals like THESE.
I know this isn't my usual fashion or beauty focused blog post, but I hope you all enjoyed it! It was a wonderful day and I wanted to share it with you all. I hope all of you moms feel loved and cherished always, but especially on Mother's Day. Thanks as always for stopping by my little corner of the internet.
