Gibson x Glam Holiday Collection
Have you decorated for Christmas yet? My family wants to wait until after Thanksgiving, but I am itching to get out the Christmas decor! It is 2020, so I figure anything goes, right? Speaking of the holidays, Gibsonlook has just released a new Glam holiday collection that has something for every celebration. Comfy tops and joggers for staying at home, and velvet dresses and jumpsuits for going out. My favorite piece in the collection is this FLUTTER SLEEVE VELVET TOP! It is designed by my friend Ryanne from The Recruiter Mom which makes me love it even more! This will be a piece I will reach for often, either by itself or layered under a blazer. Dress it up with black jeans or pants and heels or dress it down with joggers and sneakers. I recommend sizing down in the top, especially if you are in between sizes, and I am wearing a small. It is really affordable at $39 with my discount code LAURA20.
I have the green FLUTTER SLEEVE VELVET TOP paired with these comfy VELVET JOGGERS that are also from the new collection. They are so soft and I am all about anything with an elastic waist! I suggest sizing down in the joggers if in between sizes and I am wearing my regular size medium.
This V-NECK VELVET DRESS is a great option for a night out. It is comfy while still being dressy and can be paired with blazer for cooler weather. The v-neck is pretty low, so I wanted to mention that as something to keep in mind for those of us who are busty. I suggest sizing down, especially if you are in between sizes. I am wearing a small but a medium would have also worked for a more relaxed fit. It is regular bra friendly too!
This COWL NECK SWEATER is another piece from the new collection that I will reach for often. The fabric is really soft and I love the tunic length. I suggest sizing down, as I am wearing a small and it is still oversized. I have the sweater paired with some VELVET LEGGINGS that are also from the collection. The leggings have a high waist and are comfortable while still looking luxe. The leggings are really affordable at $39 with my discount code LAURA20. They run true to size and I am wearing a medium.
This VELVET WRAP DRESS is another great option for a night out. I love the beautiful burgundy color and the wrap waist is flattering on any body type. The v-neck is very low on this dress, so I am wearing a cami underneath. You could certainly wear it without a cami depending on your comfort level with the low v-neck. The dress runs true to size and I am wearing a medium.
Another casual piece from the collection is this SLOUCHY SWEATER. You can wear it on your shoulders like I am here or off one shoulder too. It is a nice longer length for leggings and is a dolman style with a more fitted look in the arms from the elbows to the wrists. This sweater runs large and I suggest sizing down. I am wearing a small and it is still oversized. I have it paired with the same VELVET LEGGINGS I shared earlier which run true to size (wearing a medium).
This ONE SHOULDER SATIN TOP is a unique piece for a night out. I love the beautiful red color for the holidays! The top is too snug on me, as I sized down to a small since I usually size down in Gibson tops. However, I should have ordered my regular size medium and recommend sticking with your regular size. This top requires a strapless bra and THIS ONE is my go-to.
Last but not least is this KNIT MIDI DRESS. This versatile dress can be worn year round since it is sleeveless. Wear it with sandals when it is warm and with a cardigan or blazer and some booties when it is cool. I recommend ordering your regular size. I am wearing a large here because my regular size wasn’t available when I ordered, but a medium would have fit better.
