Gibson x Hi Sugarplum Home for the Holidays Collection
Can you believe that Christmas is just over 2 months away? In some ways it feels like 2020 has lasted forever yet it also feels like time is moving quickly. The holidays will be here before we know it, and that means a new collection from Gibson and Cassie from Hi Sugarplum! I always love sharing their collections with you all and their newest collaboration, Home for the Holidays, celebrates family gatherings and holiday activities. It is a mix of both casual pieces for celebrating at home and as well as dressier pieces so there is something for everyone.
I am sharing some of my favorites pieces in this post and have also linked the other items from the collection. As always, I am sharing sizing details below each photo and TTS means true to size. First up is this SLEEVELESS RUFFLED V-NECK TOP & SWISS DOT SKIRT. I love the bright colors in this top and the ruffle neck adds a nice feminine detail. It would look great layered under a blazer as well. The SLEEVELESS RUFFLED V-NECK TOP runs large so I suggest sizing down and I am wearing a small. If you want a fun statement piece for the holidays, this SWISS DOT PARTY SKIRT is a great option! I love the bright red color and this midi length is so popular right now. There are fun pops of pink in the skirt with the waist band and lining under the swiss dot material. Dress the skirt up with the SLEEVELESS RUFFLED V-NECK TOP like I did here, or pair it with a graphic tee and some cute sneakers for a fun casual look. I find that the skirt runs true to size and I am wearing a medium.
This GATHERED SLEEVE CREWNECK PULLOVER may be my favorite piece from the collection. You can easily dress it up with a skirt or wear it more casual with jeans. I love the fun color and print options! Bright colors and animal print? Yes please! It is super soft too. I recommend sizing down if you are in between sizes. I am wearing a small but a medium would have given me a more relaxed fit.

The SATIN SKIRT is perfect for the holidays and goes with most anything. I find the skirt to run true to size and I am wearing my regular size medium. The skirt is form fitting at the waist with a zipper in the back so you have a larger waist, you may want to size up. And did I mention that the skirt has pockets?!? When you pair the matching color or print of the SLEEVELESS RUFFLED V-NECK TOP and SATIN SKIRT together like I did here, it looks like a dress! You can also mix and match colors for other outfit options.
There are also several comfy and casual items in this collection. One is this CAP SLEEVE TOP which is a versatile piece that can styled with a blazer or cardigan and jeans or worn with comfy joggers. The top runs true to size. I sized down to a small, but my regular size medium would have given me a more relaxed fit. The material on this top is so comfy and soft! The leopard print is my favorite but if you are not a fan of leopard, it comes in some solid colors such as the hot pink pictured here.
