Gibsonlook x Hi Sugarplum Summer of Fun Collection
Summer is here and I am looking forward to adding some new summer pieces to my closet. To help us get ready for the new season, there is a brand new collection from Gibsonlook and Cassie from Hi Sugarplum. I always love sharing these collections with you all and their newest collaboration, SUMMER OF FUN, is full of fun prints, beautiful summer colors and versatile pieces! There are casual pieces for everyday wear as well as some dressier pieces that are perfect for a vacation or summer wedding.
I am sharing some of my favorites pieces in this post and have also linked the other items from the collection. As always, I am sharing sizing details and links to shop below each photo and my shoes and accessories will be linked at the end of this post. BUTTON FRONT MAXI DRESS - This is my favorite piece in the collection! I love both print options and it is such an easy dress to throw on and still look put together. The functional buttons are a great addition to this dress and it has pockets and is fully lined. Dress has a generous fit but I am wearing my regular size medium. I recommend sizing down if you are not busty.
PALM PRINT DRESS - This is similar to a popular dress style that Gibsonlook launched last year and they brought it back in this pretty palm print. I chose the aqua option but it also comes in a taupe. The dress is not lined, but it is not see through. I do recommend nude undergarments though. Dress runs true to size and I am wearing a medium.
TASSEL TOP - This top has so many great details: the ruffle neck, tassels and ruffles at the sleeves. You can wear it by itself or layer under a blazer or denim jacket during cooler months. The top comes in this gorgeous blue print, as well as a pale pink floral print and solid white. I am wearing a medium, but the fit is generous so I recommend sizing down if in between sizes.
TIERED SKIRT - The ruffled smocked skirt is a versatile piece that can be worn with the matching top to make it look like a dress like I have it styled above. You can also wear it with a solid color top for a completely different look. This blue print on this skirt is beautiful and it also comes in a pale pink floral print as well as solid black. The waist is a wide band of smocked elastic and it does show any tummy pooch you may have so keep that in mind. If that bothers you, you may want to wear it with Spanx underneath. The skirt has a lot of stretch so I recommend sizing down if in between sizes. I am wearing my regular size medium.
There are several additional pieces in the collection that are not pictured here, but I wanted to provide sizing details. The RUFFLE NECK MAXI DRESS runs oversized everywhere but the bust so if you aren’t busty, you could size down. If you are busty I recommend sticking with your regular size. The SUMMER TEE, TASSEL COVER UP, DENIM SKIRT & TIERED LACE DRESS all run true to size. The EMBROIDERED TEE, PALM PRINT ROMPER, LONG SLEEVE HENLEY TEE & matching SHORTS also run true to size.
