What you need to know about the 2021 Nordstrom Anniversary Sale
If you have been a Smart Southern Style reader for a while, you know that I love shopping the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale every year. If you aren’t familiar with the sale, I am sharing all the details below.
WHAT IS THE NORDSTROM ANNIVERSARY SALE?
Nordstrom holds the Anniversary Sale, or the “NSale”, every summer. This sale features brand new fall and winter items that are marked down 35% to 40% on average. Lots of well known brands are featured such as Tory Burch, Madewell, Vince Camuto and so many more. All of the items included in the sale are available to preview now in this ONLINE PREVIEW. Nordstrom offers its credit card holders the opportunity to shop prior to everyone else during Early Access. (I will share more on the sale dates below.) Some items sell out during Early Access, but there are still plenty of great items available when you can shop without a Nordstrom card!
WHEN IS THE 2021 NORDSTROM ANNIVERSARY SALE?
This year Early Access for Nordstrom card holders starts on July 12. Card holders can begin shopping on different days depending on their level, which is based on the amount of money they spend during the year at Nordstrom. Icon level cardmembers shop on July 12, Ambassador level shops on July 14 and Influencer level shops on July 16. If you are a card holder, you can find out your card level by logging into to your Nordstrom account. If you don’t have a Nordstrom card, you can begin shopping on July 28.
HOW DO I SHOP THE NORDSTROM ANNIVERSARY SALE?
The sale items are available in stores and on NORDSTROM’S WEBSITE. However, I would advise that you shop online for several reasons. First, many of the items included in the sale are online only, so you cannot find them in stores. Second, the stores get really crowded during the sale so store inventory is depleted quickly. I shop in store only because I want to quickly provide fit reviews of my favorite items with you all to make shopping easier for you. If I did not need items quickly to share photos, sizing and fit details with you all on the blog, I would do all my shopping from the comfort of my couch in my PJs!
WHAT TO BUY DURING THE NORDSTROM ANNIVERSARY SALE?
I stock up on lots of basics during the sale such as loungewear and PJs, booties, denim and undergarments. It is also a great time to buy beauty sets that usually don’t go on sale. I purchase clothes for my daughters and husband during the sale as well. I will be rounding up my top picks on Monday July 12 (the first day of Early Access) so be sure to check back here then. WHAT CAN I DO TO GET READY FOR THE SALE?
As I mentioned above, this year Nordstrom has released a PREVIEW of all of the items included in the sale. You can check that out HERE. When you see an item you like in the preview, you can click “add to wish list”. Then, when the sale goes live you can easily add those items to your cart. Be sure to check the blog for updates during the first day of Early Access (July 12), then again for the first day of the Public Sale (July 28). I will be sharing photos of my favorite in-stock items for you to shop.
